Please plan to attend the monthly meetings of the Vinton Booster Club that are held the first Thursday of each month at the Vinton Senior Center at 7:00pm to support our organization and receive important information regarding your child's recreational sports activities. The meetings are scheduled for Thursdays as follows: Jan None, Feb 7th, March 6th, April 10th, May 1st, June 5th, July 3rd, Aug 7th, Sept 4th, Oct 2nd, Nov 6th and Dec 4th.
2008 FALL SPORTS REGISTRATION FOR VINTON BOOSTER CLUB
Announces sign-up dates for
Cheerleading, Football, and Soccer.
When and How:
Registration from May 5th - June 30th, 2008 via the Internet
Sign-Up Fees: Cheerleading/Soccer: 1 Child - $65 2 Children - $120 3 or More Children - $175 Football: 1 Child - $75 2 Children - $140 3 or More Children - $210 Note: any combination of the above sports per family will automatically generate a $5 per player discount, IF online signups occur at the same time.
***Late registration dates are July 1, 2008 to July 15, 2008 and includes a 55% ($36) per child late fee***
MANDATORY: All New players must mail in a copy of their birth certificate. This is required for insurance purposes and for player eligibility. All registrations must be submitted online, and should be done using a Visa/Mastercard credit or debit card. If you do not pay with a credit/debit card, then register and mail a check at once to Vinton Booster Club, PO Box 403, Vinton, VA 24179. Please remember, only after payment is received does the online application become active and the player can be assigned to a team, uniform ordered, etc.
Scholarships are available for consideration on a first come first serve basis and are approved by the board of directors. Request an application from glkornegay@verizon.net. Scholarships are limited to no more than 10 per season and an application must be received and filed for board approval by June 15, 2008.
Qualifications:
Cheerleading: Between 6-18 years old on or before September 30, 2008
Football: Between 6-12 years old on or before September 30, 2008 - See Weight Restrictions information in the 2007 Football Rules and Regulations document that can be viewed online at the Roanoke County Parks & Recreation Website, Youth Team Sports section.
Soccer (Boys & Girls): Between 6-18 years old by July 31, must turn 6 on or before September 30, 2008Sport Specific Contacts:
